”Filmen bygger på regissörens egna liv och han förhållande till hans alkoholiserade far och hur sonen Sonny prövar att bli något annat än hans pappa från arbetarklassen i Göteborg. Vad han inte inser är att han är på väg mot samma grymma öde med alkoholen som hans far. Allt görs upp mellan de två genom en fatal brutal tennismatch.”
Detta projekt är något så ovanligt som ett animerat drama på 8 minuter som tar publiken genom en känslomässig resa – men varför det är extra värt att uppmärksamma är att det är bara starten på ett längre animerat dramaprojekt som nu sätts i sjön. Karaktärerna och filmens universum (som utspelar sig på 90-talet) utvecklas just nu till en serie samt till en långfilm hos Illusion Film, med Peter Hiltunen som producerar och Peter Birro som skriver manuskriptet tillsammans med regissören om hans uppväxt i Göteborg. Detta projektet var finalist tillsammans med 4 andra i Nordic Talent 2010 (tävling för alla elever från filmskolorna i norden) och är planerat att vara färdig 2012.

Brokendoll is proud to present a new CG Short – Animatus – from the Latin meaning to breath life.
Directed by Brett Richards It is a simple piece about imagination and naivety.
The piece was shot on HD by cinematographer Matt Broadley, composited and graded in Shake and Smoke, with final 3d produced by Important Looking Pirates in Maya.

Pixar received several nominations including Toy Story 3 for Best Motion Picture. This category has only seen two animated films nominated previously, UP and Beauty and the Beast. In the directing category many were surprised to see Christopher Nolan overlooked for Inception as the film was nominated in many other categories, including Screenplay and Best Picture.

important looking pirates | Fox “Super Bowl Pregame”
The ILP team has done a new beautiful spot for Fox design group. The collaboration for this TVC for Superbowl Pregame show was a Massive task, using massive crowds, building a replica of the Dallas cowboy stadium in a limited amount of time. Impressive.. Have a look for yourself.
