Dallas has done the Opening sequence for the swedish “Melodifestivalen” – the winner will compete in Eurovision song contest.
In 2001 we presented a new look for Melodifestivalen which has graced the mega-event ever since. In january 2010 the producers at Svt asked us to have a look at a total upgrade of the logo as well as the on-air design for the 2011 tour – The premiere attracted over 3 million viewers!
With an absolutely spectacular 10 year history of record breaking viewing and unprecedented media coverage it takes a lot of guts to say “Let´s give the logo a makeover and while at it give the whole event a new treat as well!”.
In 2001 our mission was to help shift the general perception of the brand “from mediocre to professional”. We found inspiration in the very committed and serious design approach which usually is associated with The Olympic Games and The Academy Awards. The initial design has worked well and only minor updates have been executed on a yearly basis.
For the 2011 design our ambition was to keep the original architecture and drama but shift the main theme from light to fluid. We wanted to become more physical, sweaty, nasty and fun – Pretty much exactly what the event has developed into for the past decade.

Commissioned by ICOM, also known as Ikea Communication, we have helped Ikea Germany to present the autumn collection of new furniture. A flip friendly environment giving the audience a joyful experience while browsing through more than 200 products. We have of course integrated the huge Ikea HEJ community where engaged visitors can participate in homestyling discussions while planning their new home interior design. The site also contains 50 inspirational films from the IKEA interior decorators. Like all worthy Dallas products, this design platform has a built in structure that renders in a reasonably swift procedure when upcoming seasonal offers are to be communicated. Merry X-Mas. Kanal5 decided to challenge the succesful Swedish Hollywood Wives on TV3. Executive Producer Carina Carlsson digged deep in the fertile Skåne-soil and found a well kept treasure. Skånefruar (Wives of Skåne) runs for only four episodes but these will surely be stacked with joy (and indecency). We flew down south, rigged up a mobile green screen and shot intensely for one day. Given only 4 seconds each, Nancy, Christina, Angela, Vera and Maria made it crystal clear why they undisputably rule the southern regions of our country – We came back to Stockholm brokenhearted but on the other hand with 30 secs of great material. We designed and produced logo & graphc manual, opening sequence, breakbumpers and all the other bits and pieces that make up a worthy on-air design package.
