Another breakdown from Ghost, this time for Norwegian feature film Ragnarök
Very nice breakdown from Ghost in Copenhagen on their work on
Kvinden I Buret (aka “Keeper of lost Causes”)
a short selection of the visual effects we did for “Kvinden i Buret”. The most significant effect in the film is the “poetic” car crash where the interior was shot high-speed on a 360 degree revolving set. The shots were completed with artificial playing card, class splinters and a full 3d background to indicate forward motions and complete the illusion. As additions the movies includes lots of matte painting effects, blood simulation, muzzle flashes and an array of more traditional effects and clean-up. In total approx. 60 shots.
Once again Ghost has put together some astonishing imagery, this time for Pepsi.
It stars Fouad el-Mohandes (with the lamp) who died in 2006 and Nelly (lady on the moon), who is now in her 60’s and while still in very good shape, needed to look like she was in her early 30’s.
As a consequence we had to make some very complex 3D face replacements and numerous other VFX fixes, all to a very aggressive deadline.
The hardworking Ghost team led by VFX supervisor Martin Gårdeler and producer Emil Holm had some extremely long days towards delivery, and the political situation in Egypt also brought it’s own challenges.
The film however, has been extremely well received in Egypt so far, with more than 3 mio views on Youtube alone and we are very proud of the result.
Some great stuff from Director/vfx supervisor Swede in Copenhagen – Martin Gårdeler. Just brilliant work Martin and ghost team!
Beautifully performed ice cream tvc from the team at Ghost
Food appeal at it’s finest. 10 seconds of Magnum chocolate ice cream seduction in two different versions. The sequence will be included in local ice cream adverts all over Europe and is a seamless combination of Motion Control live action elements and loads of 3D and compositing.
Gori | Hammock
The latest for Gori from the super talented team at Ghost in Copenhagen. This time directed by one of the founders of Ghost , Martin Gårdeler. Great work Martin and team!
We have put Andy the Mouse through horrible ordeals in two previous films for Gori Paint, from white goods and sharp gardening tools tumbling from the sky to death rays. This time we thought he was due for at least a few moments of peace and quiet, as well as a bit of a makeover. The idea; “Time lapse Andy in a Hammock”, was simple to write down on paper but it presented a lot of technical challenges. Andy was redesigned, new fur and rendering tools were used and a crack team of talented Ghost artists worked very hard on bringing him to life. The film is not yet on TV, but we have been given permission to show it here.

My old friends, Ghost in Copenhagen has a brand new reel and site! Check it out… lot of nice stuff and work from the dream factory.
New splendid transition work from the crew @ Ghost in Copenhagen. As always … nice work.
My friends at Ghost.dk are currently ramping up for several commercials and some pretty awesome feature work.
They are in need of some good render and comp (fusion, nuke ) artists that are willing to spend 3 months in copenhagen.
